Doing the Right Thing...

Hello,
It's been far too long since I updated this blog, but I am doing well and keeping well busy. I'm also trying hard to do the right thing even though it metaphorically gets me socked in the face sometimes! This past sabbath's sermon was about where God told Ezekiel that he would make his face like flint against those that opposed his prophesies and words from God. It seemed timely to me. Sometimes it helps to have a rock hard face when everybody's knuckles seem to be coming right at it... :)

Actually this is more of a comment on divisions.I just didn't want it to be missed. I think the idea of division or separation from the world is inaccurate. The word says we are not of the world. We are a new creation in Christ, born of his spirit. That is why we are not of it. We are in it but not of it. In psalm 50:12 God says the the world is his and all that is in it. I feel that the power of Gods spirit that dwells with in us is greater than we know. That we do not have to fear the world or any thing in it. There is more to this walk than just trying to be a good Christian (you have already received all the goodness there is thru Christ Jesus) and going to church every Sunday (which I believe is a very good thing). There is a place in our walk where the fear falls away. A place of confidence in Christ,in what He did and who He is and who we are in Him. That we can face the world and not be afraid of it getting on us, There is more. If we ask He will take us higher and further in Him. Being around sinners wont be problem. It wasn't for Jesus. Just a thought, Regards Peter Ross
